Mr. FRANCISCO MACHADO (Portugal) is EAPI’s newly appointed Assistant Director for Programs. He completed his Licentiate in Sacred Theology with specialization in Biblical Theology at the Loyola School of Theology and is now working towards a Doctorate in Spiritual Theology.

Fr. FRANCIS ALVAREZ SJ (Philippines) is a professor at the Loyola School of Theology and the Ateneo de Manila University. He is a much sought after speaker and retreat director. He completed his doctorate in Theology and Education at Boston College.

Fr. JOHNNY GO SJ (Philippines) is the Director of the Ateneo de Manila Institute of the Science and Art of Learning and Teaching (SALT) and currently the OIC of EAPI. He teaches Education and Philosophy at the Ateneo de Manila University, as well as the University of the Philippines. He obtained his Doctor of Education at the UCL Institute of Education, University of London.

Fr. PETER POJOL SJ (Philippines) is the former EAPI Director, and is currently the Socius of the Philippine Province of the Society of Jesus. He is a professor at the Loyola School of Theology and completed his doctoral studies in Moral Theology in Boston College.

Dr. CHRISTINA KHENG, PhD (Singapore) is the Coordinator of the Extension Program of EAPI, where she teaches pastoral leadership and management and is a member of the Editorial Committee of Asia Pacific Mission Studies. She is also a planning consultant for the Jesuit Conference of Asia Pacific. Christina has a Master of Public Administration degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, USA, and a PhD in Religion and Theology from the Australian Catholic University.

Fr. ALBERT ALEJO SJ (Philippines) is a professor of Theology at the Loyola School of Theology, specializing in Social Anthropology. He obtained his PhD at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) of the University of London and is a well-known author, philosopher, and poet.

Ms. SYLVIA MACLAT (Philippines) is the Executive Director of the Environmental Science for Social Change (ESSC), a Jesuit research and training institute that promotes environmental sustainability and social justice through the integration of scientific methodologies and social processes.
EAPI COMMUNITY MODULE
Fr. HARTONO BUDI SJ and Fr. KHOAN PHAM SJ are EAPI’s Program Coordinators, and they will be leading this important component of the program.

Fr. Hartono is a faculty of Systematic Theology in Loyola School of Theology, most notably, Christology within multicultural context and multi-religious society, followed by the development of a community called Church, pastoral empowerment and inter-religious dialogue, as well as on the Ignatian spirituality and a theological methodology that takes social-religious context seriously, particularly Asian religiosity and poverty. He did his doctoral studies in the Graduate Theological Union at Berkeley, California with specialization on Latin American theology of liberation and dissertation on the “Christology of Jon Sobrino and Contemporary Martyrdom.”

An architect by profession, Fr. Khoan has been a spiritual director for seminarians, religious men and women for many years. For some years, he served as the Formation Delegate and Provincial Assistant of the Jesuits in Vietnam. He was also missioned to evangelize ethnic minority groups (K’ho, Chru, H’mong) in the central highlands and northwestern part of Vietnam.
